Keep in mind my "pros" and "cons" are very subjective. What is a plus for me may be a negative feature for someone else, and vice-versa. But it's my review, and this helps me cover the features...for those of us who still like a tangible paper solution to complement the digital calendar(s) in our lives.Pros: Spiral bound, tabbed months, fair amount of space for writing info for each day, has a month at a glance at the beginning of each month (on the tabbed divider). Spaces and pages for extra notes.
Cons: Month at a glance is too glossy for writing in pencil. That makes it unusable for me - would be so nice to use. No full page calendar of the next year. I know, picky...at least there is one at the back of the current year.
Neutral features (for my tastes): Hardcover - makes it heavier, but I don't travel with mine, and it does make it durable and easy to write in if you're away from a desk. Pocket inside the front cover. Decorative humor/cartoons are on the monthly tabbed dividers
There are some changes in the Maxine engagement calendar this year over previous years. One I really like - no paper cover over the spiral binding. I always had to slice that off so I could flip the cover completely back. So that's a big plus in my book. There's no longer one week per page, it's spread across two pages (open book). That's okay...kinda preferred seeing the whole week with the book opened with the page flipped back. If a new month starts during the week of an previous month those days are now under the tab of the previous month. New months don't start on the 1st unless the 1st is a Monday, The first Monday in the month is the day that month starts after the calendar tab. No big deal, but different than it used to be, and takes a little getting used to, when looking for something quickly. Still one of the best laid out engagement calendars I've found.

I would have preferred that the entire week appear on just one side with a cartoon on the facing page. Alas, not anywhere near enough Maxine cartoons in this one.
I get a laugh or two almost every day! My mother got me into Maxine a very long time ago.
This is a very well done, yet inexpensive, appointment book. Hardbound is a must the way my wife uses it constantly and there is plenty of room for daily and monthly entries...plus the months are tabbed for easy reference/access. She loves it!
Maxine makes me laugh,
I look all over yearly for the correct calendar that will fit in my oversized purse and able to keep track of my life and everyone else's as well
I get one every year, keeps me organized and makes me laugh. Very well made and holds all my notesand to dos.
When I went looking for a calendar in book form, I could not find what I was really looking for. I wanted a book calendar with comic on every page. I looked everywhere I could to find one like this and could not locate one. I AMA fan of Maxine's and although this book does not have comics on every page, there are are interesting.
They updated this year's calendar from the last, so that each day has lined spaces to fill in, rather than just an open box per day. I really like that aspect, as things can be neater and more organized. The folder in the front of the book is great, and the reference area is expanded to include measurements, etc. Great book.
